TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

My philosophy of teaching is that all students are unique and must have encouraging environment where they can grow musically, mentally, emotionally and socially. It is my passion to pass on my skills and knowledge to students, and it is my desire to create the atmosphere where students can achieve their highest potential. My role as the teacher will provide the fun, safe, caring and welcoming environment for students to express their ideas and thoughts.

Music education is a lifelong process where my students and I learn new ideas, thoughts and communication with each other. I believe that my students will still benefit from my class after they leave the classroom musically, individually, socially and emotionally.

In addition, music learning requires patience, time and consistent practice and study. Over time, students can develop discipline. I believe discipline is the key to success, so I encourage my students to practice/study every day in order to master the instrument/studies. I also assist my students to build up strong foundation for the preparation of their music journey.

Every year, I encourage all the students to attend National Federation Music Festival and yearly student recital. Based on your personal plans and goals, there are more events, assessments and exams for students to participate.

Ultimately, in my piano teaching, I always make sure that my students enjoy their process of music learning!
